Complete Custom Guest Bathroom Addition & Finishing – Germantown, TN

Phillips Property Solutions completed a complete transformation in Germantown, TN, converting an existing jack and jill bathroom into two separate bathrooms. This project created a dedicated guest bathroom by removing the shared layout and rebuilding the space from the ground up, giving the homeowner privacy and a modern, tailored design.

The process began with full demolition of the existing bathroom components. We removed all current flooring, hardware, framing, and fixtures to clear the area for new construction. After demolition, we produced a 3D rendering of the new guest bathroom so the homeowner could see the proposed layout, finishes, and flow before work continued.

Once the design was approved, framing started. The space was framed from the floor up to create the new room configuration and to support a new linen closet that was also framed into the wall. With the structure in place, we completed rough in plumbing and electrical work to prepare for the new fixtures and lighting.

For the flooring we installed new large format tile throughout the guest bathroom. The shower received a matching large format tile surround, and we set mosaic tile for the shower floor and for a recessed niche to hold shower storage. Fixture and finish choices were selected to complement the updated design. A new white oak vanity was installed to provide storage and a warm natural tone. Instead of a traditional swinging door, we installed a sliding barn door shower glass kit with oil rubbed bronze hardware. This detail saves space and ties in with the rest of the bronze accents, while the glass kit keeps the shower feeling open and bright.

After tile and fixtures were set, we completed final electrical and plumbing connections and finished the room with paint throughout. The painting brightened the space and unified the new construction with the rest of the home.
