Outdated Kitchen Transformation - Olive Branch, MS!

Phillips Property Solutions, LLC. completed a kitchen renovation in Olive Branch, MS that updated the space from top to bottom while preserving and refinishing key elements. The project began with careful protection of the cabinets that would be refinished, so work could proceed without damaging the pieces being saved.

We removed the existing flooring as part of the demo stage, and took out an outdated fluorescent light and old floral wallpaper. Removing those dated elements cleared the way for a more modern, cohesive look and for the new finishes to be installed properly.

New large format porcelain tile was installed across the kitchen. The tile chosen is a white field with gray accents, selected to give a clean, bright base and a subtle pattern from the gray detailing. The large format pieces reduce grout lines and help the floor read as a continuous surface.

The original cabinetry was refinished rather than replaced. Upper and perimeter cabinets were refinished in white, and the island cabinets received a moss green shade. Protecting the cabinets up front allowed us to refinish them on site and maintain their condition during the rest of the renovation.

Trim was replaced throughout the kitchen, and walls were painted in a neutral cream color. In addition to the walls, the trim and the ceiling were painted to ensure a complete and consistent finish around the room.

Lighting was updated as part of the renovation. The old fluorescent fixture was removed, recessed lighting was replaced, and a new island hanging light fixture in a wood and black finish was installed over the island. These changes improved both task lighting and the overall aesthetic.

Countertops were upgraded to Calacatta Laza Quartz, and a 4 inch quartz splash was installed along the perimeter. The new countertops provide a durable, low-maintenance surface and coordinate with the white and gray tones used elsewhere in the kitchen.

All cabinet and drawer hardware was replaced with new black hardware to complement the island light and provide contrast against the white and moss green cabinetry. The kitchen received all new stainless steel appliances along with a stainless steel vent hood to complete the modern appliance package.

This kitchen renovation in Olive Branch, MS combined selective preservation with full updates to finishes, lighting, flooring, countertops, and appliances. The approach allowed the homeowners to keep and refinish existing cabinetry where appropriate, while installing new tile, quartz, trim, paint, lighting, hardware, and stainless steel appliances for a refreshed, coordinated kitchen.
